Description

PowerSecure is seeking an IT Incident Coordinator in our Wake Forest and Durham, NC offices. The Incident Coordinator functions as the first point of contact for end users, performing administrative tasks such as ticket dispatch, escalation management, and customer engagement to ensure service requests are resolved in a timely manner. The Incident Coordinator also manages the process to restore normal service operation as quickly as possible to minimize the impact to business operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assigning incidents within a group or division
  • Responsible for proper recording of incidents
  • Determines if an incident needs to be escalated according to priority and severity of the issue.
  • Ensure that Incidents assigned to their support groups are resolved and that service is restored.
  • Monitor the incidents and manage workload in their respective queues to ensure that Service Level Agreement and Operational Level Agreement are respected.
  • Helpdesk software management expertise in creating workflows and service request forms.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ hands on experience working in an IT Service Desk environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with IT technical teams.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within ITIL (or equivalent) environment.
