Testing Required: EEI SASS Basic Competency Assessment Battery and EEI SASS Advanced Competency Assessment Batteries
Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.
Job Summary
- Plans and schedules test sessions. Administers company employment tests to job candidates, and reports results to Human Resources staff. Administers on-line assessments, tests, and simulations to candidates. This includes acting as a role-player for certain tests. Answers candidate questions, resolves issues concerning on-line assessments, scheduling of tests, and addresses any questions or concerns while proctoring test sessions. Updates test databases and applicant tracking system. Analyzes data, creates reports, and communicates summaries to others. Span of Control: 0; individual contributor role.
Key Accountabilities

- Plans, coordinates, and facilitates employment testing sessions.
- Determines which job candidates require tests based on the Human Resources Assessment Guidelines.
- Independently administers employment tests and assessments to job candidates.
- Scores tests and enters information into appropriate database.
- Communicates test results to appropriate company personnel and candidates.
- Monitors and maintains test inventory, supplies, and equipment.
- Creates, modifies, and processes various reports using Microsoft Office applications, Success Factors, and other databases.
- Forecasts testing timelines and resources for future hiring plans.
- Analyzes data, interprets results, and makes recommendations for process improvements.
- Cleans testing rooms, equipment, etc. after each test session.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years of experience working in Human Resources or Customer Service (Customer Service experience excludes food service industry) inclusive of 2 years of experience working with SAP, Taleo, other HRIS systems, or other relational database systems (e.g., customer service, business operations).
Other Qualifications
- Associates degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or similar field.
Other Qualifications
o Must be able to travel 30% of the time.
o Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company driving standards.
o Must be able to work on weekends.
o Must possess or successfully complete the EEI Test Administrator certification course within 1 month of the position start date.
o Proficiency in software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
o Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written. Must be able to tactfully answer candidate questions, and address individuals who may be concerned or upset.
o Must have strong decision-making skills to determine the appropriate solution based on established guidelines, policies and procedures, and personal judgment given the circumstances of the situation.
o Ability to work both independently, and with colleagues.
o Must have basic math skills.
