SUPPORT SPECIALIST (ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT) – Transmission Construction

Location: Forest Park, GA 30297

NOTE: This position is located in the Metro Atlanta area with no relocation benefits available. Candidate must currently live within a commutable driving distance to the Metro Atlanta area OR must quickly relocate at his/her own expense.

JOB SUMMARY

The Support Specialist provides direct administrative support to a variety of business functions within the Power Delivery Construction organization. This position routinely interfaces with various levels of employees, internal and external customers. This position will also provide backup coverage to other administrative positions within the organization. This position will require travel between the Southfield Parkway and Jefferson Street offices to support Power Delivery Distribution and Construction organizations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answering and directing internal and external telephone calls.
  • Process time for over 60 employees using automated time reporting system.
  • Process expense reports using Oracle iExpense.
  • Process invoices through Oracle.
  • Process invoices through CAMP.
  • Run reports and ability to retrieve personnel information from HR database.
  • Handle confidential information.
  • Support leadership team with special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • College coursework and/or degree a plus.
  • Certification as an administrative professional a plus.

Job Experience:

  • Recent administrative/secretarial experience supporting multiple staff members (in a corporate environment) is required.
  • Previous experience processing expense reports strongly preferred.
  • Data entry and reporting experience a plus.
  • Previous experience using an online time recording system/software preferred.
  • Credit Card Processing and expense reporting knowledge a plus.
  • Experience entering, coding, reviewing invoices is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to provide superior customer service to internal & external customers.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential matters.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time keeping, expense reporting, and HR online entries.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (telephone, verbal, and written).
  • Ability to work well with others – be engaged as part of the team.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal/external customers and co-workers.
  • Must be able to work in a high volume environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and quick to grasp general concepts and guidelines.
  • Possess excellent time management, planning, organization, decision making, and problem solving skills.
  • Flexible, multi-task oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and work with minimum supervision.
  • Strong focus, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other company applications (for time reporting, expense and account management, expense reports, etc.).
  • Proficient in Excel a plus.
  • Works well in a team setting.

Other Requirements

  • Must also be able to pass a written pre-employment clerical test (SASS) in order to be considered – candidates selected for further consideration who are not already test qualified will be contacted to be scheduled for a test session as appropriate.
