Job Description
Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst will join a team of 10 testers who safeguard and deliver quality assured development through manual and automation testing Publix.com website and Mobile app.
Our offices are in Downtown Lakeland and are newly remodeled with a modern flare including standing/sitting desks, collaborative workstations, and lighting.
We are looking for a tester that is inventive, creative, and who can make our team stronger.
We seek someone who has experience with:
- Writing scripts in C# or Java using Selenium.
- Agile/Scrum process.
- Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) using SpecFlow preferred.
Responsible for all Quality Assurance (QA) activities throughout the project’s life cycle.
Works closely with the Project Leadership team to ensure QA activities are planned and executed.
The focus of this position is to develop and validate test scripts for the Publix.com desktop and mobile site in the customer digital solutions team.
Daily activities will include:
Test Planning. Works with the SCRUM team to understand user stories for the project. Develops strategies and plans for approval from the QA manager. Provides estimates and task lists for the testing activities within projects.
Test Analysis. Reviews user stories and design specifications to ensure test requirements can be derived from other project deliverables. Using these deliverables, determines testing requirements that define the testing to be developed and executed for the project.
Test Design. From project requirements and design specifications, designs the test cases, test procedures, and coverage within testing tools. Makes decisions on appropriate levels of test automation within projects.
Test Case Creation. From the design of the cases and procedures, creates manual and automated test cases and procedures from the test design specifications. Build test cases, test sets, and test scripts, to execute against defined User Stories for feature sets within the sprint.
Testing. Conduct testing activities from test plans. Perform part manual and part automated testing including writing automation code. Verify testing results and accurately track defects. Perform feature and regression testing in Test, Staging and Production lifecycle. Participate in defect tracking and problem-determination throughout the feature development life cycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in automated web-based testing leveraging C# or Java
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Selenium automation testing
- Experience with cross-platform testing solutions
- Experience using a web-based development tracking tool for managing identified bugs and defects, such as Azure DevOps
