Job Description

Position Summary:
The Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of payroll.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll, including reconciliation of payroll results using SAP
  • Pull electronic time clocks using electronic time software and reviews the downloaded information for accuracy; contacts Supervisors to reconcile any discrepancies
  • Research payroll discrepancies and make necessary adjustments
  • Provide excellent customer service in responding to Crewmember questions regarding their paycheck and other payroll-related questions
  • Prepare payroll reports and assists other departments with payroll-related questions
  • Process special payroll off-cycle items including termination payments and bonuses
  • Record stock option sales
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • Ability to successfully complete assessment which demonstrates proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office – especially Excel
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Pass a ten (10) year background check (may include credit check) and pre-employment drug test
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree
  • One (1) year Payroll experience
  • Three (3) years of ADP or SAP Payroll experience (in-house)
  • Knowledge of SAP payroll
  • Understanding of multi-state tax laws
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
