In addition, this team supports the strategy and philanthropic giving of The Starbucks Foundation, with a focus on enabling community resiliency and prosperity and uplifting communities affected by disaster. This role supports how The Starbucks Foundation advances our social impact priorities and deepens connections between partners and the communities we serve.
As a project manager on the Global Social Impact team, you will support The Starbucks Foundation’s philanthropic giving: executing grant management processes and systems; setting up reporting requirements; tracking financial stewardship of grantees; managing accurate, timely and complete records ensuring proper governance and impact reporting; maintaining relationships with a sub-set of critical grantees and grantmaking intermediaries; engaging with partners (employees) about the Foundation and its giving programs; and performing day-to-day administrative tasks in support of the Foundation’s operations.
In addition, as a Global Social Impact project manager you will:
  • Work cross-functionally to drive operational coordination across Foundation and other support teams;
  • Coordinate a subset of grant cycles and manage key NGO relationships; and Identify and maintain partner (employee) engagement opportunities related to the Foundation.

 

We’d love to hear from people with:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulations and best practices specific to U.S. and International grants management, in a corporate foundation setting, preferred (3-5 years)
  • Previous experience in managing NGO stakeholder relationships & partnerships preferred (3-5 years)
  • Previous experience with employee engagement programs preferred (3-5 years)
  • Ability to organize cross-functional teams and lead to demonstrated results and impact required
  • Ability to navigate large, matrixed organizational environment required
  • Strong decision-making skills and professional maturity required
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Experience with database management and systems administration required
  • Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint required; experience in creating executive presentations preferred
