Motorola Solutions Inc., North American Payroll Department

Job Description

The Motorola Solutions Inc., North American Payroll Department processes payroll for over 10,000 employees between the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Guam. A payroll specialist is expected to work as needed in order to provide a timely and accurate payroll on a biweekly basis with the pay date being Friday. Overtime is expected as needed specifically during holidays.

A payroll specialist for the US payroll department should know when they need to ask for assistance, be willing to understand the Motorola culture, always put our employees first and has a collaborative nature for working with others.

Knowledge

  • Understands an automated batch payroll processing software
  • Knows where to research for regulatory questions
  • Some college education, work experience equivalent
  • Reversing pay checks
  • Manual check processing
  • Bank Rejections for Direct Deposits

Skills

  • Calculate the details of a payroll earnings & deductions statement
  • Import data
  • Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing (preferably ADP software)
  • Communication
  • Collaboration

  • Microsoft Office applications
