The Operations Associate I is a member of a Packaging Line Team. The Operations Associate I runs packaging equipment to package over the counter solid dose product in a safe, compliant and efficient manner. This role will perform simple troubleshooting and simple line changeover tasks, including, but not limited to: Line purge, reconciliation, clearance, setup, and equipment cleaning.

 

The Operations Associate I will utilize SAP and MES systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Package Product
  • Operate all packaging equipment/machinery on assigned line(s) involved in the packaging of over-the-counter solid dose products at JJCI-Lancaster McNeil in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures with a high level of autonomy.
  • Perform in process quality checks.
  • Escalate line issues to management and participate in troubleshooting as requested
  • Identify and escalate all immediate and potential quality, safety, or environmental issues (material, procedure, and process) as observed
  • Changeover Packaging Line
  • Safely, compliantly, and efficiently perform basic changeover tasks including purge, reconciliation, line clean and equipment cleans.
  • Perform basic equipment setup tasks
  • Perform Line Challenges
  • Execute Material Movements in appropriate systems
  • Maintain accurate records/documentation related to work in progress.
  • Perform appropriate SAP transactions
  • Accurately execute within MES system
  • Perform simple troubleshooting
  • Work as a team member with management and Process Engineers to ensure desired business results are achieved
  • Operate equipment and conduct all work based on established and certified cGMP, Safety & Environmental practices
  • Maintain an updated and current training record (adhere to training timelines in Compliance Wire, etc)
  • Participate in Safety initiatives and programs
  • Identify and escalate continuous improvement opportunities for process and equipment. Take part in improvements as requested.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:
A minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent is required.

 

Experience:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the manufacturing operation for the food, dairy, or pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • Previous high-speed packaging equipment experience preferred.
  • Must be able to frequently lift/carry 1-10 lbs, and occasionally lift/carry 11-50lbs as well as lift from the ground to knees and waist, and from the waist to shoulders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills is required.
  • Basic computer skills, including Windows Operating Systems and applications or equivalent required.
  • Experience with computerized materials management and document tracking systems is required.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift license.
  • This position will support either the 2nd shift (M – F 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) or 3rd shift (Sun – Thu 10:00PM – 6:30 AM)
