The Nonprofit team is experiencing hyper-growth and our Industry Specialists team is responsible for supporting that growth in our North American business, focusing on prospect and customer engagement in key industry disciplines: Fundraising/Development, Grant Making, and Programs Management/Service Delivery. We are looking for an exceptional nonprofit executive to deliver industry-specific expertise in Programs Management and Services Delivery & Operations, working prospects, customers and Salesforce.org account teams within the sales cycle to help drive customer success and company growth. This subject matter expert will become a key differentiator, not only working in close conjunction with our account teams but also with our Nonprofit Industry Solution team to calibrate and deliver the right go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide deep and practical customer-centric Nonprofit industry expertise in several key areas:
    • Support AMER account teams in every stage of the sales cycle to drive more valuable solutions and impact for Nonprofit customers
    • Inform and deliver continuous sales enablement and training programs to constantly raise the industry expertise of the broader team
    • Conduct and coordinate ongoing feedback from customer and the market to the Nonprofit Industry Solutions team
    • Design, deliver and scale regional events and activities to drive awareness, interest and demand for Salesforce solutions
  • Build and cultivate relationships with key customers, industry thought leaders, influencers and innovators
  • Help drive cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Solution Engineering, Alliances, Customer Success
  • Help build a culture of effective Account Executive partnership, orientation towards developing new accounts, expanding existing ones and ensuring high retention rates on existing accounts
  • Build strong relationships with existing and new “lighthouse” customers in the North America nonprofit vertical
  • Find and cultivate relationships with key “industry influencers” to create new opportunities

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Extensive experience either as a nonprofit practitioner and/or as a consultant to nonprofits in the creation, coordination and administration of programs that support mission delivery, from a leadership perspective (Programs Director, COO, CFO or E.D.).
  • Understanding that organization missions and theories of change can differ widely, we seek candidates with wide experience in program planning, organizing, staffing/volunteer management, leading, controlling and reporting on program work. This may include setting strategic initiatives, short and long term goals, creating annual budgets/operating plans, developing program evaluation frameworks, developing funding proposals, documenting program activities, outputs, outcomes and impact, and reporting output, outcome and impact data for funding proposals or fee for service.
  • A solid understanding of the nonprofit technology market, and in particular, transformation of service delivery and programs operations to digital.
  • Excellent business management, presentation and executive engagement skills
  • The ability to construct and articulate strong business cases and ROI for change
