The Facebook Legal team is seeking a motivated, highly-organized, detail-oriented candidate with impeccable judgement to join our Law Enforcement Response Team. The right candidate must have a strong work ethic and exceptional partnering skills. The right candidate must also have flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, business and organizational needs. This is a full-time position.

  • Bring operational excellence to a team that handles a large volume of incoming requests from law enforcement, and ensure that all requests are scrutinized and handled in strict accordance with applicable law, our terms of service, and our law enforcement guidelines.
  • Analyze and accurately assess a variety of requests from law enforcement authorities and governments from the North America region.
  • Support escalations related to sensitive subject matter.
  • Participate in high priority on-call rotation as well as after-hours and weekend duty.
  • Clearly respond to process and policy questions from law enforcement, government agencies and internal parties.
  • Working with a cross functional team, drive improvements to policies and processes within the law enforcement response team.
  • Address sensitive content issues, including but not limited to graphic images, videos and writings, offensive or derogatory language, and other objectionable material.
  • Willingness to testify in legal/court proceedings as a records custodian based on legal approval and business need.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required based on business need.

 

  • BA/BS degree and 2+ years experience in an operational role or equivalent professional experience
  • Highly organized with experience prioritizing multiple functions and tasks while managing their work time efficiently without compromising quality
  • Avid Facebook user
  • Experience working independently with impeccable judgment
  • Experience communicating effectively with both cross-functional teams and law enforcement agencies
  • Skilled in various computer systems, internet technology and software (PC, Mac, MS Office, online research, etc.)
