BlackRock Investment Management, LLC seeks Associate, Research – Fundamental in New York, NY to analyze the Latin American region for equity investment that will generate excess returns compared to the market while offering reduced risk in alignment with client investment needs, focusing on different sectors including Cement & Infrastructure, Education, Energy, Utilities, Industrial and “Special Situation” companies. Req’s: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Mathematics, Finance or a related field of study and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing financial modelling to properly gauge investments; working with risk and quantitative analytical framework for portfolio construction; developing client relationships with corporate executives, regulators, and government officials in Latin American region; engaging with Latin American cultures and customs to understand region specific business models; utilizing industry knowledge of utilities, energy, industrials, airlines, infrastructure, education, and building materials sectors to analyze investment needs; assessing political risk throughout the Latin America region and determining the impact on the portfolio’s investments; working with micro and macroeconomics.
