The Future Talent Program features internships that lasts up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.
Our department of Genetics and Pharmacogenetics is seeking intern applicants for the summer of 2021. Individuals with skills or interest in either bioinformatic/statistical analysis or bench-based research are encouraged to apply. The projects that you work in can be in one of the following areas:
Early Discovery Genetics (Boston, MA):
- Participate in the analysis of genetics data to facilitate discovery of novel genetics targets.
- Participate in laboratory work for functional validation of genetic targets and developing genetically anchored cellular and organoid systems related to human diseases.
- Work within an integrated team supporting the current pipeline, including bioinformatics and sequencing efforts.
Cancer Genomics and Analytics (Boston, MA; West Point, PA):
- Analysis, implementation and visualization of network and graph algorithms for the study of interactions among disease-relevant biological networks.
- Data mining of large internal and external databases of molecular modalities for therapeutic discovery, disease stratification, and biomarkers for disease progression.
Genome Sciences (Boston, MA):
- Apply cellular and genomic technologies towards the functional validation of genetic targets and pathways.
- Evaluate cutting-edge systems-level technologies for target discovery and validation.
Discovery and Clinical Pharmacogenomics (Kenilworth, NJ; West Point, PA):
- Participate in the design and execution of genomics experiments to discover novel mechanisms of action for our compounds.
- Work within an integrated team supporting the current pipeline, including bioinformatics and sequencing efforts.
- Participate in clinical facing pharmacogenomic experiments including scientific, genomic policy and operational efforts.
Profiling and Expression (South San Francisco, CA):
- Profile human disease tissue and model systems using gene expression, immunophenotyping, and histopathological methods to inform clinical and discovery programs.
- Participate in translating disease pathways and mechanism-of-action studies into key biomarker insights.
Required Education and Skills:
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a minimum of a bachelor’s degree program in a relevant field of study.
- Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning in May or June of 2021.

- Candidates should have superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates should have excellent academic achievement and analytical ability.
- Candidates should be a good team player and have the ability to work independently
